House rules
The essentials
- Maximum guests: six at Sun Villa, five at Sea Villa. No visitors beyond your confirmed reservation.
- No parties or events.
- No pets.
- No smoking indoors.
- No commercial photography.
Being neighbourly
- Quiet hours begin after 10 PM. The villas sit in a peaceful residential neighbourhood.
- When the villas are booked separately, please be considerate of the guests in the opposite house around the shared pool.
Safety
- The pool has no gate or fence. Please supervise children at all times.
- Exterior security cameras watch the entrance gate only.
- Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in both villas; Sea Villa also has a fire extinguisher and first aid kit.
Common questions
How far is the beach, really?
Long Bay Beach is about 600 metres away. That is a ten minute walk, or roughly five minutes on the golf cart. Grace Bay Beach is about a ten minute drive.
Is the pool private?
The pool is shared between the two villas only. There is no public access. Book both villas and it is exclusively yours.
Do we need a rental car?
Many guests rent a car for exploring, and Shanwell can recommend affordable local companies. For beach trips the golf cart covers you, and registered island taxis are easy to arrange.
Can our group book both villas?
Yes. Together the villas sleep up to eleven across four bedrooms and seven beds, with three bathrooms and the whole gated compound to yourselves.
Is the property good for young children?
Guests with kids consistently praise the stay. Cribs and a pack n play are in both villas, Sea Villa has a high chair, and Sun Villa is single level. The pool is unfenced, so supervision is a must.
Can I work remotely from the villas?
Yes. Both villas have fast WiFi and a dedicated workspace. Sun Villa’s workspace is in a room with a door.
What about early check-in or late check-out?
Either may be available for US $50, subject to availability, depending on same-day arrivals and departures. Please ask in advance.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation terms depend on the platform you book through and are shown at checkout on Airbnb, Vrbo or Booking.com. For direct questions, Shanwell confirms terms before you commit.
