Empty stretch of Long Bay Beach with layered turquoise water under a blue sky

Long Bay, then the rest

The beach at the end of your street is one of the world's great kiteboarding flats. The rest of Provo is a short drive.

On your doorstep

Long Bay and around

The villas sit about 600 metres from Long Bay Beach. Walk it in ten minutes, or take the golf cart in five.

Long Bay Beach

Soft white sand and glass-clear water that stays waist deep far from shore. Sunrise walks, conch shells, and safe splashing for little ones.

Kiteboarding and wingfoiling

Steady trade winds over shallow flats draw kiteboarders here from all over the world. Lessons and rentals run right on the beach.

  • Horseback riding

    Minutes away

Provo Ponies leads gentle guided rides through Long Bay Hills and into the shallows of the beach itself. No experience needed.

  • La Famille Express shipwreck

    About 2 miles offshore

The grounded freighter off Long Bay is the island’s most photographed landmark. Jet ski or boat tours get you alongside.

Bight Reef is Provo’s best-known shore snorkel: a 400 foot coral bank with turtles, eagle rays, parrotfish and the odd nurse shark.

  • Chalk Sound National Park

    About 20 minutes by car

A milky-turquoise lagoon scattered with tiny limestone islets. Rent a kayak or paddleboard and take it slowly.

  • Sapodilla Bay

    About 20 minutes by car

A calm, shallow bay that small children love. Climb Sapodilla Hill for sailors’ inscriptions carved in the rock centuries ago.

  • North and Middle Caicos

    Ferry from Walkin Marina

A day trip to the quiet family islands: Mudjin Harbour’s cliffs, Conch Bar Caves, and miles of untouched beach.

  • Dining out

5 to 15 minutes by car

The Shore Club and the South Bank marina host standout restaurants minutes away, and Grace Bay covers everything from conch shacks to fine dining.

Getting around

The golf cart covers beach runs with all your gear. For the rest of the island, affordable car rentals are easy to arrange, and Shanwell is glad to recommend companies. Registered island taxis work well if you would rather not drive.
